GROWING AND DEVELOPING HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS 2019: SUPPORTING SCHOOLS TO DELIVER EFFECTIVE RELATIONSHIPS AND SEXUALITY EDUCATION

Join The Relationships and Sexuality Education Project for this exciting full-day event where we showcase recent developments in school-based relationships and sexuality education (RSE), as well as practical activities you can take straight back to the classroom.

This symposium is designed for both primary and secondary school teachers, however those delivering RSE in the school setting holding roles such as school health nurses, support staff, administrators, external agencies and pre-service teachers are also welcome to attend.

Keynotes
We are excited to invite keynotes Maree Crabbe and Dana Kerford who each bring an extraordinary level of expertise in their respective fields, in addition to their extensive experience and success within the school setting

Maree Crabbe from Reality & Risk will be speaking on pornography, young people and sexuality. Read more here.

Stories from the Field
Educators share their classroom success in delivering RSE, demonstrating practical strategies and activities, as well as discussing the challenges they overcame.
We are currently seeking educators willing to share their story through a 5 minute presentation to our delegates. The final list of presenters will be offered a discounted ticket price. Concurrent Workshops
Delegates will have the opportunity to participate in two interactive workshops. Our keynote speakers will be offering an insight to their school applicable programs as well as a taster of their resources, engaging classroom activities and more. Other topics will include teaching RSE to students with special needs, creating safe and inclusive LGBTIQ+ school environments, Protective Behaviours, plus many more to be announced. Closer to the date we will send you an event reminder & workshop preference selection.
